 Social Media is everywhere. Whether it's your mother asking why there's a rather embarrasing picture of you on facebook or your boss questioning why you've not made that vital business contact yet, digital media is here to stay and is changing the way we interact.
JCI Edinburgh is keen to help our members get to grips with this new array of technologies, which at times can be rather daunting, "Where to start?" is normally the hardest question! Therefore we propose to run a social media academy starting on the 2nd September and running weekly until the 22nd October when we will have a graduation dinner, where attendees will be given awards and certificates through participating in the course.
The course is suitable for those who do not even have social media accounts and don't know where to start, as each evening will begin with a hands-on session where you bring your laptop and sign up for each of the social media service. After a break for refreshments an expert speaker will then give an example of how to get more out of the media and of course there will be a chance to ask questions of our experts, and case study speakers.
