Any trepidation or nerves I had about joining JCI and attending events by myself was swiftly forgotten as I joined the table at Bar Roma for the New Members Meal.

The conversation flowed and everybody was friendly and interested in what each other had to say.  Even more to my surprise, there was not a hint of sales chat which is usually what happens at these kind of dinners and the main reason I was hesitant of the 'networking' nights.

As the evening drew to a close and I had finished my lovely meal and wine, I realised that I had made the right choice joining JCI as I know I have friends in the making.
