Networking is a process not an event- Applying simple sales techniques to improve your networking results!
Let’s face it we are all sales people whether we like to admit it or not. And if you don’t like thinking of yourself as a sales person then you can’t escape the fact that you have to be able to sell to be successful in business. Whether you’ve turned your hobby into a business, are looking to make partner in your firm or simply want to nail that interview for the dream job, success all depends on your ability to sell.
The most common area where non-salespeople participate in the sales process is networking.
- Are you being sent along to networking events by your boss?
- Are you seeing the results for time spent?
- Not know what to do with all the cards?
- You’ve bitten the bullet and arranged to meet up with a prospective client you met at a networking event, what now?
In order to convert these leads into business you need to improve your sales skills!
